Frequently Asked Questions

Well, we are called Incline Village for a reason! While the Inclines surely are small, and manageable. We have never had a customer regret getting our state-of-the-art pedal-assist electric bikes.

We recommend going for the full day. This way you can stop at all the sightseeing points along the way, spend some time down on the beach at Sand Harbor, Grab a bite to eat or a cocktail at Sand Harbor Beach’s restaurant, or many of the other spots in town.

Children of all ages can rent bikes, we have a variety of different types of kids bikes and equipment depending on the age. We require one adult 18 & older to accompany any minors.

While there is no required minimum, we recommend kids over 5’ or 13 years of age take electric bike. Younger kids ages 10-12 may enjoy them too if they are big enough and mature enough to control the speeds, for their own safety. All riders are required to wear a helmet while on an electric bike.

Not really, we recommend 300 lbs as the cap for the City bikes. It’s mostly about if you feel comfortable or not.

Included in your rental is the bike/ equipment, helmet, lock, map, and map route guidance by our team of local experts. Also included: breathtaking views of the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, and memories to last a lifetime!

The weather fluctuates from May to Summer to October. In May, Early June, September and October- bring jeans, bring jackets/hats/gloves, but prepare to take them off and store them mid-morning until late afternoon. In July & August, a bathing suit, T-shirt, Shorts, and sunglasses is your best bet!

To find the trail, head towards Tunnel Creek Café and follow the paved road alongside it that heads up hill. Keep walking up that road through the forest service gate and past the “no parking” signs until the trail turns into dirt. Here, you can park your bike and hike the rest of the way up. When you get about a quarter of a mile up, you will see on your left a more vertical up hill climb. You can either hike up that way, or you can go around the dirt path for 1 mile to get up to the viewpoint. When you reach the top you will see a mound of rocks- Try to find the Monkey rock and that’s where you get nearly 180 degree views of the majestic lake Tahoe!

The Flume Trail Mountain Bike Ride is a moderately difficult one way 14 mile ride at 7000′ to 8000′ feet in elevation with over a 1000′ of climbing in the first four miles and 4.5 miles of single track. The Trail itself traverses above several steep sections, so those afraid of heights be forewarned. In this world, most spectacular vistas require traversing steep terrain. Shuttles can take riders to the top if they wish to only ride down.

Tahoe Rim Trail is one of the most beautiful mountain bike rides in the Lake Tahoe area. The beginning of this section of the Tahoe Rim Trail is at 8700′ above the Sheep Flats (a.k.a Tahoe Meadows) on the Mt. Rose Highway above Incline Village.

For morning starts we recommend you bring a wind shellThe first part of the trail from the trailhead parallels the highway and then descends through the meadows, over the bridge and briefly joins the Ophir Creek trail. Look for Rim trail signs directing you up and right onto the rim trail after a quarter mile.

We have a late rental program wherein if you come after 4:00pm you can keep the bike into the evening (past our closing at 6pm); there is specific place you lock up and drop keys which we give upon rental
– If you want to rent the bikes for 24 hours, there is an overnight fee of $25 per bike

We do welcome walk-ins, however reservations are always recommended to ensure we have your bike type and size available and ready for you when you arrive. Electric bikes are our most popular, and in high-season will often sell out, so for those we would absolutely recommend booking in advance.
